Ty Rogers has been Of Counsel to Vandenberg & Feliu, LLP since April 2006. A commercial litigator for the last decade, his practice also includes creditor/debtor matters, bankruptcy, real estate and intellectual property disputes. Mr. Rogers began his legal career as a bankruptcy litigation associate at Lord Day & Lord, Barrett Smith and later joined the bankruptcy group at Brown Raysman & Millstein LLP. After several years of bankruptcy litigation, Mr. Rogers moved to Gallet Dreyer & Berkey LLP where he focused his practice on litigating commercial and real estate disputes. Prior to joining Vandenberg & Feliu, LLP, Mr. Rogers was a commercial litigator at Beldock Levine & Hoffman LLP, where he also litigated intellectual property matters. Mr. Rogers is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and was awarded “best brief ” at the National Civil Rights Moot Court Competition in 1990.
Mr. Rogers is a national board member of the National Polish American-Jewish American Council. In 2001, he organized and led a group of Jewish families returning to his grandfather’s birthplace—Jedwabne, Poland—to commemorate the massacre of the town’s Jewish population sixty years earlier during the Holocaust. Mr. Rogers resides with his wife and daughter in Forest Hills, NY, where he is a member of his co-op building’s board of directors.
