Mark R. Kook practices in the area of business litigation and commercial law. His
litigation practice, including jury trial and appellate work, has focused primarily on
proceedings in New York federal and state courts. During his over 30 year career, Mr.
Kook has also been involved in commercial disputes in courts throughout the United
States. Mr. Kook has litigated several securities related class actions in federal and state
courts representing public corporations, their officers, and their directors. Mr. Kook
has developed a wide range of expertise in cases involving federal securities fraud;
shareholder, partnership and employment disputes; trademark infringement; corporate
dissolutions; asset sales; injunction proceedings; litigation involving commercial and
residential real estate; and legal malpractice.
Mr. Kook has managed and tried numerous actions involving commercial and
residential real estate, including specific performance actions; Yellowstone Injunction
proceedings; disputes with boards of directors of cooperative and condominium
buildings; construction litigation; and broker disputes.
Mr. Kook is a graduate of New York University School of Law. He is a member of the
New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
Mr. Kook resides in Teaneck, New Jersey with his wife and their two children.
He is active in community affairs, including United Jewish Appeal and Chai Lifeline/
Camp Simcha, and is a trustee of the Riverdale Jewish Center and SAR Academy.
Mr. Kook also coaches basketball and softball.
